The Queen Victoria
Cape May is famous for its historic, gingerbread houses. Originally private homes, many have been converted to Bed & Breakfast inns. You can’t help but feel as if you’ve stumbled into a fairy tale when you stroll around. It really is something special. Here’s a small taste of what the town has to offer.

It wasn’t crowded on Thursday or Friday. It got busier on the weekend. Still, it was a pretty ideal time to be there.

John, those are beautiful examples of Victorian architecture. I live in a ‘Queen Anne’ here in militaria, and I have to say that the only thing I’d hate worse than living in a huge, old Vic would be to have to paint one’s exterior.
But pictures of them, I’m totally cool with.

I had the maintenance thought many times. My take: if you can afford to live in one of these suckers, you must ensure you can afford to pay someone to paint it!

Sad fact is most folks who do are the DiY’ers with four morgages and lots of Ben Gay costs. You need to watch This Old House… well, the older ones from way back, before DiY and Reno’s became haute.
