The GOP’s base has been energized by the inclusion of Paul Ryan to the ticket as Mitt Romney’s Vice Presidential candidate. The renewed sense of purpose among some Republicans is palatable. They are of the belief that Ryan is the serum to what ails the Romney campaign and, more importantly, the country. Thankfully, Election Day is almost here. The mood is such that by now Tuesday could arrive accompanied by bushels of chocolate covered strawberries, truckloads of bouquets, puppies and kittens for all, the Rockettes, and cures for every known communicable disease – and it still wouldn’t be more welcome than it already is.
